Palworld Early Access Jumps To Seven Million

Developer Pocket Pair has announced the open-world survival game Palworld has sold over seven million units in five days.

On Steam, the concurrent player count has passed 1,864,421, making Palword the second-highest peak on the platform, with only PUBG in the lead with 3,257,248 concurrent players. The sales do not include the Game Pass or Microsoft sales.

The future of Palworld looks bright, with tons of features in the pipeline. Players can look forward to PvP, Raid Bosses, Pal Arena, Crossplay, new islands, and Pals.

Pocket Pair CEO Takuro Mizobe says PvP will be challenging to implement but understands it is highly requested. “PvP is really difficult. First of all, we need to think about why we are introducing PvP to Palworld. To begin with, there are many other games that offer a fun PvP experience, so we need to make sure that there is a reason for Palworld players to play PvP,” Mizobe said. “Of course, using Pals you caught in battle is one unique point, but only games that give players a good reason to play can survive in the long term. In this sense, I think it’s a very harsh territory.”

In recent weeks, Palworld has been accused of asset theft. This led to developer harassment and death threats.
