Blizzard revealed the newest hero for Overwatch. After teasing the reveal for over a week, we got answers! Introducing Baptiste, a Haitian combat medic who seeks a better world.
Baptiste’s backstory reveals he was orphaned during the Omnic Wars, which is an in-game event that’s often talked about amongst the heroes. Recruited by Talon, Baptiste eventually left the agency and is now on the run from them. This was revealed in a lore teaser, posted on February 21. As it stands, Baptiste is still on the run from Talon and now he’s ready to retaliate against them.

As it stands, Blizzard is mum on a release date for Baptiste. However, they say coming soon so that means after the initial trial on the public test servers on PC, this could likely be soon.
