The Entropy Centre

Outsmart Time In The Entropy Centre

The Entropy Centre is a brand-new Portal-looking puzzler created by relatively young, U.K. indie studio Stubby Games alongside publisher Playstack.

In the trailer, shown as part of Future Games Show, we meet Aria, as she awakens upon the titular The Entropy Centre, a space station in the near-orbit of Earth.

There’s seemingly no good situation for Aria to be in as her home planet below has been set ablaze by a catastrophic fire, and her current space station setting appears to be on the brink of total collapse!

If only she had something like a time-manipulation gun named Astra… wait, she does? Hooray! Oh, and it talks in a hollow, robotic tone with cutting British wit and charm… well, that’s less exciting!

Can Aria and Astra work together to solve The Entropy Centre’s puzzles, reach its core and turn back the destruction of Earth? I guess that all depends on how adept you are at solving puzzles!

“The Entropy Centre isn’t pulling any punches. This is the game that I’ve wanted to craft for a long time and I can’t wait to see players delve into this crazy time-manipulating world that I’ve created,” says Stubby Games Founder Daniel Stubbington.

And he’ll have an extra set of help on the remaining crafting, although hopefully with less cutting feedback than Astra’s, as London’s Playstack publishing house has today signed on the be the game’s official distributor.

“The Entropy Centre is a brilliant example of what we are looking for – it’s an extraordinarily smart, satisfying, and witty puzzle game that is resonating with fans. We are feeling great about its response so far and have big plans for the coming months to maximize its success.” Adds Playstack Chief Executive Harvey Elliott.

The Entropy Centre will be making its way to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this year.
