Compared to the first game, which reached the one million copies sold milestone shockingly in under a month, it took the sequel a bit longer at more than three months on more platforms at launch which is still incredibly impressive as the first game sold incredibly well and the sequel is selling well. If you’re a fan of the first game and haven’t played the follow-up yet, we already have a review on the site when the game first launched.
“Octopath Traveler 2 is a safe sequel that enhances and fleshes out the existing systems from its predecessor. Not much has changed in five years, and whether it needs to change drastically can be a topic of discussion in the future. For now, revel in the gorgeous graphics and impressive battle system, which is a blast because it expects you to exploit your enemy’s weaknesses. Many of the characters are better written and feel better to use, so things feel much more interconnected this time,” Bobby said in our Octopath Traveler II review.
Octopath Traveler II launched earlier this year on February 24th and is currently available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
