Earlier today, NetherRealm Studios teased two new characters to be revealed at C2E2 today, and the reveals were worth waiting for if you like booth Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung. But really, who doesn’t like them and if you don’t well, you’re next!
Sub-Zero’s older brother returns as Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 11. After watching his reveal video and seeing his fatality (which itself is a doozy and really graphic in nature) I’m eager to jump right in and see how he is in this entry. I was always a fan of his shadow teleporting and Noob has always been a favourte, yet tragic character (Scorpion murdered him in an act of revenge).
This isn’t the only reveal though, and ultimately, this reveal feels much bigger. Returning as a downloadable character is soul stealer, Shang Tsung. While I’m miffed he isn’t part of the roster like the others, he will be the first character you can purchase. What caught me off-guard in a surprising move from NetherRealm Studios, is hiring Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from the Mortal Kombat film and the most excellent The Man in the High Castle returning to voice Shang Tsung. Sadly, there isn’t any trailer or gameplay available but I’m looking forward to hearing those iconic last words in Mortal Kombat 11.
