Dropping in hot today, No Way Home, a new game developed by SMG Studios, is now available for Apple Arcade subscribers. With a subscription to Apple Arcade for $5.99 (CAD) per month, users get unlimited access to the entire catalogue of over 100 new, exclusive games, all playable across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV. Also, Apple Arcade includes a one-month free trial.
No Way Home follows a young female, stranded in a strange galaxy, fighting for survival. Using only your wits, your ship, and your party planning robot companion, explore the universe. Befriend bizarre aliens and blast through hordes of monsters as you endeavour to find a way home. With a rich story mode set across a huge universe, you’ll have 50+ weapons to discover, craft and upgrade as you battle over 60 unique enemies. With randomly generated environments, every game is unique as you discover your own path to survival.
Additionally, No Way Home features hand-drawn artwork, which was digitally scanned in for the game. SMG Studios was determined to bring some female representation of their game, something they felt was often lacking in action-adventure games. The studio also ensured that the protagonist was fully-voice acted. SMG Studios took inspiration from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Red Dwarf to craft a narrative with a dark-comedy edge to it.
