We’ve known for a while that the next update for No Man’s Sky would bring multiplayer and launch at the same time on Xbox One on July 24. As the release date inches closer, we’re getting a clearer picture of what the update brings to the game. Simply titled “No Man’s Sky Next,” the update does wonders to bring about what reminds me of the original vision of Hello Games.
The multiplayer see small teams of friends or strangers join up to explore the massive universe together. This is huge and also exciting! Also, you can stay alive together or prey on the others.
Build shelters big and small and share them with each other! Fight as a pirate or wingman in space with your friends, or race across alien worlds in fun races.
The next big you’ll notice is the visual overhaul the game now has, and lines up much more with the original trailers we saw that took our breaths away when we saw the trailer in 2015. Not only that, but you can play the game in first or third person on foot and in ship. Terrain and ground textures, water and clouds – everything looks much better.
Bases can now be built anywhere on any planet, and the complexity and size limits are gone. There are hundreds of new parts to use to build bases and you can own multiple bases.
This is a massive update if you want to read more about it head over to the PlayStation Blog.
