Nintendo Switch On Pace To Outsell Wii In It’s First Ten Months
The Nintendo Switch has sold really well since launching ten months ago, it’s been hard to find a console at retail up until recently, luckily, the shipments have increased for the holiday season.
Industry analyst Mat Piscatella reports that the Switch is on pace to outsell the Wii when compared to the same data from that time by 20%.
In the video, Piscatella believes that the Switch is on pace to beat out the Nintendo Wii’s lifetime figure sales figure, a whopping 101 million consoles sold. With the Switch doubling as both a handheld and a home console, the rush to own one is helping drive sales for the Japanese company. With a stellar library including Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and a yet unknown Pokemon game coming next year, there is no better time to own a Switch.
It’s good to see Nintendo thriving once more, with third-party support back on track for the most part, as well as new and original first-party games that can’t be found anywhere else, each day seems like a win for the Nintendo Switch.
