Nintendo is looking to conquer Hollywood after the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which became the biggest video game adaptation ever with a live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
This is Miyamoto. I have been working on the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit films. [1]

The film will be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, representing Nintendo and Avi Arad of Arad Productions. Arad has been heavily involved in superhero films over the last decade, having worked on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Across the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home.
Together, the two companies intend to produce a live-action film based on the iconic and best-selling Nintendo series. The production will be directed by Wes Ball, director of the Maze Runner series and the upcoming The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, which will launch in 2024. The will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment, with over 50 percent financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures distributing the film worldwide.
I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production. It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it. [2]https://t.co/2H9lzzS5Pv
