If you saw the trailer for World of Light, you saw that every fighter except Kirby died. Yep, Nintendo went and pulled that card. So, with that fact in mind, we’re getting Spirits added to the game.
Spirits serve as power-ups in a sense for your main fighter. Adding a Spirit to your fighter comes in two forms a primary and support spirit. These range from Chibi-Robo to Dr. Wily to Revolver Ocelet, and there’s tons more! These allow your fighter to power up or gain additional abilities ranging from speed or strength and mixing them up will be the key to winning.
To acquire Spirits, you’ll need to win Spirit Battles and when you win, you’ll need to complete a roulette challenge to unlock that spirit.
To level up your Spirits you’ll need to battle with them. This will give them extra power and even unlock enhanced forms.
Lastly, with an insane amount of spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, thousands of combinations can be formed. Players will be constantly surprised and excited by all the spirits that pop up in the game. Because players might collect an abundance of spirits, the game will offer recommendations for primary and support spirits, making the selection process a little bit easier.
