Can I just say how hard it has been to keep up with a number of solid games coming out this year, let alone since January?
Today, Square Enix announced that NieR: Automata has sold over one million copies since launching early last month on March 7. This takes into account both physical and digital copies of the game, and if you think that isn’t a ton sold for a publisher like Square Enix, NieR is more akin to an indie title that has its own corner to thrive in. This is a big feat by any means!
Director Yoko Taro has been happy with the feedback and the support his games have received thus far, and NieR: Automata is deserving of all the praise it has gotten.
