The cover athletes for NHL 26 were the Tkachuk family last season, who are NHL stars, but this season, the folks over at EA Sports secured themselves an NHL superstar.
This year’s cover athlete for NHL 27 should come as no surprise, as they announced one of the biggest young names in the NHL, Macklin Celebrini. Not only is Celebrini from Vancouver, where NHL 27 is made, but he also plays NHL video games, which is a pleasant change from some previous cover athletes.
Last season in the NHL, he appeared in several online videos playing EA Sports NHL 26 and even had a famous sleepover on the road with teammate Will Smith, during which they played the game in their hotel room.
The Deluxe Edition of NHL 27 provides you with early access to the game on September 4th, 2026 and the standard edition launches on September 11th, 2026.
No additional details on what else comes with the Deluxe Edition are available at this time. Stay tuned for more information in the upcoming days around NHL 27.
NHL 27 will have a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition and will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. No Switch 2 version this year.
