NHL 22 Drops Roster Sharing, Top 50 Player Ratings and More

With just over a week to go until this year’s iteration of NHL drops on October 15th, EA Vancouver is sending out saucer passes with three big announcements for NHL 22.

Pro-fecting single-player gaming

First of all, the third NHL Deep Dive is here!

EA Vancouver knows that fans have been clamouring for a few years now for improvements to “Be A Pro Mode” and “Franchise Mode.” If you haven’t figured out yet, they are banking on this year’s addition of X-Factors being a big part of that freshening up of single-player modes. Your personal player in “Be A Pro” will have an X-Factor associated with their player archetype, but you’ll have to play through a short multi-game story to earn it. And perfecting it will require spending a few seasons in the league. There are also 300 new conversations that can take place over multiple seasons of your “Be A Pro” career. Conversations now tie into a reward system that grants you skills. How you earn these skills and what you earn determines the conversations you’ll have. You’ll now be able to better prioritize your pro path. Are you an early achiever or a slow-burn superstar?

Now here’s the thing you’re always asking for: the annual player ratings. So far, this list is the top 50 players. This years top 10 features a few new faces, and an all-Canadian top three!

Arena music

Coming in at 44 songs strong, NHL 22’s soundtrack is the largest and most diverse yet! For the first time in a while, there’s something for everyone here, rock, rap, hip-hop, pop and more. Take a look at the full list to see what you’re putting on your list. And if you need a hand figuring out what you’ll be listening to, EA Vancouver has got you covered with playlists on both Spotify and Apple Music.

NHL 22 is available on all major household gaming consoles on Friday, October 15th, 2021. Early access is available to all those with EA Play starting today! Sign up for EA Play and play your first 10 hours free.
