2K Games and Gearbox Software have revealed the box art and new title name for the previously untitled Tales from the Borderlands sequel now aptly named New Tales from the Borderlands.

A lot of the information has been made available via a retail listing on Amazon. From the description, we know pre-orders will include the Adventure Capital Pack which includes cosmetics for Anu, Octavio, and Fran as well as in-game funds.
Set in the metropolis of Promethea, you play as Anu, Octavio, and Fran – three characters experiencing the worst day ever. It is up to you to turn their luck around and maybe even help them save the planet.
Gearbox promises players will deal with vault monsters, invasions, and capitalists.
We learned today about the new characters – Anu is a scientist, her brother Octavio is streetwise and Fran… slings yogurt. It’s nice to see a focus on people who live in the world of Borderlands and don’t necessarily live to be vault hunters or corporate shills.
This time we’ll see how these characters deal with the fallout of their decisions and how these choices will shape the story.
