The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is up there with the most ported games of the last generation in gaming.
Name a platform, and CD Projekt RED tossed it a port of your Witcher – PC, Xbox, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Now, the pride of Polish game development has announced that Geralt and Roach will ride again — right into next-gen gaming.
An updated version of the 2015 adventure RPG is on the way, featuring further improved visual and technical updates. As well as ray tracing and improvements to the loading screens, which were masterful in telling the game’s ongoing story, but they were a slog to sit through at times!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also going to come to PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 as the complete version — so updates will be made to the stellar DLC content as well!
There’s currently no word on the launch window other than sometime in 2021.
However, CD Projekt RED has informed gamers that they aren’t out to control us. The new and improved version will be available as a free update to existing owners, as well as a standalone in the major storefronts.
