NetEase Games has opened Worlds Untold, a new studio out of Vancouver, British Columbia, that Mac Walters, formerly of BioWare, will lead. Walters was the project director on Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and before that, was the Lead Writer on Mass Effect 2 and 3.
Worlds Untold’s mission is to work on new IPs “with depth and possibility that can’t be contained in a single game or medium. The team’s debut project is a near future action-adventure game in a breathtaking world filled with mystery and exploration.”

Rounding out the team at Worlds Untold is:
- Sotaro Tojima, Audio Director – Who has over 20 years of experience in video game audio on titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Halo
- Elizabeth Lehtonen, Head of Production – Worked on Dragon Age, The Sims, and Angry Birds franchises
- Ramil Sunga, Head of Art – Worked on Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem and the entire lineup of Dragon Age titles
- Ben Goldstein, Head of Technology – Worked on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the PlayStation 4 version of For Honor
