Mere days from the official launch of Mortal Kombat 11, and NetherRealm Studios is working overtime, but after their latest marketing, can rest easy. It’s a scheme as old as time, the closer a game is to launching, the more and more we see it in the news, on TV, all over our feeds and on our phones. In this case, I think I’m okay with it because whoever decided this was how MK 11 was going to be marketed, is a genius.
Hearing the familiar sounds of Techno Syndrome, the smash hit song from the Mortal Kombat movie from the 90s, takes me way back. I remember watching the movie in complete excitement and anguish, wondering who of the established characters would see their end in the tournament.
Mortal Kombat 11 launches next week on April 23, 2019. It will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch, and PC.
