NetherRealm Studios dropped the full trailer featuring the entirety of the first Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11, and the reveal is actually pretty good. Even though the full roster was leaked earlier this morning thanks to a conspicuous thumbnail on YouTube, the reveal went well.
Joining the already released Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, NetherRealm went and confirmed dates on when we’d see Sindel (November 24) and Spawn (March 17). Then we got our first glimpse of the T-800 Terminator (October 8) and finally Joker (January 28). Arnold’s Terminator looks fantastic and I guess the producers on the film are going full crossover because we’re not only getting a Terminator in Mortal Kombat 11 but also in Gears 5. Joker, on the other hand, feels like misdirection and not someone I’m really interested in playing as. His appearance isn’t that special and he comes across as a create-a-character model.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the final four characters play. I’m also confused about a few of the appearances, namely the Joker joining the roster. According to reports and data mining, Ash Williams of Evil Dead was a character supposedly meant to partake in the Kombat Pack. Even Bruce Campbell said he wasn’t in the game via a cheeky tweet but that didn’t stop fans from searching for clues.

Who knows, maybe with the success of the first Kombat Pack we’ll end up seeing Ash Williams in some form. I’m all for it, especially since the cancellation of Ash vs Evil Dead still doesn’t sit well with me.
