Capcom’s latest release, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has shipped over 1 million units in just days, a new tweet from the official Monster Hunter Twitter announced. In just 10 days, the spin-off title has made a splash on both the Nintendo Switch and PC.
While it isn’t nearly as big of a launch as Monster Hunter Rise had back in March, selling nearly 4 million units during launch week, it’s still an impressive feat. It makes sense that the mainline Rise would outperform the JRPG spin-off, but it goes without saying that the Monster Hunter franchise has strong momentum that’s been holding strong since 2018’s Monster Hunter World.
