Monark is set in a world where a deadly mist surrounds the Shin Mikado Academy. To save your friends and family, you’ll enter the Otherworld, a world filled with Daemons and a dimension beyond anything in ours. It is here, you’ll harness the Authority of Vanity and summon Fiends, who draw power from their master’s Ego.
If you’re thinking that Monark looks similar to Shin Megami Tensei then yes, I can agree with you. Most of the development team working on the game worked at Atlus and a lot of them have decided to regroup and develop a game in the same vein.
While the game is set to launch this year in Japan, a Western release is tentatively scheduled for 2022.
