Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is about to enter its fifth season, and new details have been announced for multiplayer and Warzone players. We’ve told you about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently, but it looks like at least two more seasons will be underway for the current iteration.
Let’s start with Season 05 Reloaded:
- The Visitor Center is a new map coming with the season launch. It’s said to be an area meant for fast-paced combat with numerous flanking points
- Gunfight Snipers is a new mode that will have teams of two firing at a distance using only snipers and marksman rifles. No tacticals or secondary weapons will be available.
- Three new operators including Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft, Mace, and 21 Savage
- Three weapons are also launching as a new pistol, SMG, and melee
- Two new camo options to unlock for your weapons
Now, for what’s coming to Warzone:
- Al Bagra Fortress in southern Al Mazrah will be open during a new Resurgence experience
- “Fort Resurgence will have its playlist at launch, separate to the Resurgence rotation that contains Ashika Island and Vondel”
- Armored Royale is back using MRAP vehicles. The mode was last seen in 2020’s Modern Warfare
- New missions will now be available for DMZ
- Balancing for some weapon and item combos. These details were not released in today’s drop

Season 05 Reloaded in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone will launch on August 30th across all platforms.
