SIE and San Diego Studio already announced MLB The Show 23, but today we’re learning more about the Collector’s Edition, featuring Derek Jeter on the cover.
The 14x All-Star, 5x World Series Champion, 5x Silver Slugger, 2000 World Series MVP was selected because of his decades-spanning career, featuring one of the best careers in baseball, it makes sense to feature Jeter
“Derek Jeter needed an epic cover, and we wanted to show him in a new light. With that in mind we tasked visual artist Sanford Greene to present Derek in a fresh new perspective,” says Ramone Russell. “Derek’s career as a Yankee is larger than life and his cover literally has him jumping out of Yankee Stadium. Can you spot all the Easter eggs in the cover? We’re thrilled with the cover art and are so happy that we finally get to show the results of this collaboration.”
The Collector’s Edition and the Captain Edition include Early Access for those picking it up.
Speaking of the Captain Edition, it will launch with a limited-edition New Era MLB The Show 9Fifty Cap and Steel Book.

San Diego Studio also revealed a technical test later this month. Starting February 15 around 1 PM EST and lasting through 1 PM EST February 21, players in the US and Canada with a PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch console can participate in the MLB The Show 23 Technical Test.
