The latest game in the series was developed by the same Fire Emblem team, Intelligent Systems. Kozaki Yusuke will return as character designer alongside Shin Kibayashi. Kibayashi is a popular manga writer that is new to the Fire Team, and created the story behind the latest title.

The popular Japanese puzzle game Puzzles & Dragons Z will be making its way overseas to North America. New Amiibos, Super Mario Amiibo Series Announced and Mario Party 10 Amiibo Capability

11 new Super Smash Bros. Amiibo characters will reach North American stores in February. It doesn’t stop there. Nintendo will keep more Amiibos coming as they will release a new Super Mario series of Amiibos on March 20, alongside the release of Mario Party 10. The Super Mario series will feature characters from the famous game franchise. Although some of the characters, like Mario and Princess Peach, overlap with the Super Smash Bros. series Amiibos, they will have different looks and/or poses. The Super Mario Series will also feature characters, like Toad, that will be completely new to the Amiibo world.

Also revealed is that Mario Party 10 will have Amiibo capability that will allow players to use Amiibos from either Super Smash Bros. or Super Mario series. However if you plan on using an Amiibo from your Smash series you will need to erase your Amiibo’s character data. The Amiibo capability will be used in Amiibo Party mode for Mario Party 10.

More Revealed About the Highly Anticipated Splatoon

The bright coloured and unique shooter Splatoon is set to release in May and new details were revealed about the title. In the game there is an online mode where you can play with and against others in order to earn money. That money will allow you to pay for character customization. Bandai Namco Project Treasure

This was one of the weirder moments in the Nintendo Direct, but still very interesting. Bandai Namco teased a title that they will be releasing that will focus on multiplayer and is free (yes, FREE) to download (with internet accessibility). Although they are very hush hush about the game name and release date, for now they can tell us they are calling it “Project Treasure”.

The Latest Console from Nintendo

The most exciting part about the Direct was when Reggie Fils-Aime (President of Nintendo America) announced the new 3DS XL that will be releasing on February 13! The most notable upgrades for the new handheld console is the C stick that will enhance control capability, like allowing for a seamless 360 camera view. Adding to the enhanced controls are the new ZL and ZR bumper buttons. The system will also include built in Amiibo support, faster processing, faster and improved browser interface, longer battery life, automatic brightness adjustment based on lighting conditions, Micro SD slot, and face tracking 3D that Nintendo promises to be a noticeable difference. The only thing the system is missing is an AC adapter , that’s right the handheld will not be sold with it but old DSi and 3DS systems adapters can be used for the system. But that wasn’t all, Nintendo Direct ended with a BANG when they announced on Febrarury 13 they will release a limited edition Majora’s Mask new 3DS XL!
