Microsoft Announces Surface Laptop 4, New Accessories

Surface Laptop 4

Microsoft has revealed the Surface Laptop 4, the newest edition to the Surface lineup, which is already available to order. In addition to new hardware, Microsoft has announced new accessories.

“For years, Surface Laptop has stood apart from the crowd with craftsmanship unlike any other,” says Pete Kyriacou, VP, Microsoft Devices. We’ve spoken about how much we believe the details matter – and that conviction is rewarded when we see Surface Laptop consistently hold the highest customer satisfaction rating in its class.”

I’ve always been a fan of the design driving the Surface lineup and Microsoft continues to finetune the design with its signature 3:2 PixelSense touchscreen displays. The Surface Laptop 4 comes in two sizes: 13.5″ and 15″, with an HD front-facing camera for all your meetings from home these days, the option of either an 11th Gen Intel Core processor or AMD Ryzen Mobile processor, with Dolby Atmos Omnisonic speakers. I’m also enjoying the new Ice blue colour option available. If you’re interested, head on over to the Microsoft Store, where the Surface Laptop 4 begins at $999 CAD.

If you order now, you’ll get a pair of Surface Earbuds with your purchase. I reviewed them last year and enjoyed my time with them but the lack of noise cancellation and wireless charging leave them behind today’s standard.

Joining the Surface Laptop 4, Microsoft revealed the Surface Headphones 2+ for Business certified for Microsoft Teams. This new pair of headphones is perfect for remote work conditions as they offer high-fidelity sound with 13 levels of active noise cancellation, innovative earcup dials, and an 8-microphone system for voice clarity. Microsoft says the battery on the Surface Headphones 2+ offers 18.5 hours of music listening, and 15-hours of voice calls.

Microsoft also revealed two new USB headsets, the Modern USB and Modern Wireless, the Modern USB-C, and the Modern Webcam.
