Metro 2039, the latest single-player first-person shooter from developer 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver, has been announced.
The title in the series brings players to 2039. You play as The Stranger, going up against a Metro led by Hunter, a legendary Spartan who’s brought together the various factions under Moscow. The Stranger will be fully voiced this time around, a new step for the franchise.
The last entry in the series, Metro Awakening, was a VR title that launched in 2024, with the last mainline title, Metro Exodus, having launched in 2019. Metro 2039 is sure to continue the dark, psychological horror elements from past entries.
METRO 2039 is set to launch this winter on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
