Funcom is working with The Outsiders to bring us a game that looks like Doom but also plays like a rhythm game. Today, during IGN’s Summer of Gaming event, Metal: Hellsinger was revealed to the public. The game’s Steam page is live.
Become The Unknown, and fight through the fiercest domains of Hell. Destroy the demon hordes and their leaders to set yourself up for an epic showdown with The Red Judge herself.
Touted as a rhythm first-person shooter where your ability to shoot on the beat enhances your gameplay. The more in sync you are to the music, the more destruction you cause. There’s dozen of demonic enemies to tackle with a range of weapons, with each weapon having an ultimate ability.
Troy Baker also narrates the story and you’ll fight through hell to dethrone The Red Judge and through the icy world of Voke, all the way to the maddening world of Stygia.
Every track is created specifically for the game with vocals by metal icons, such as Matt Heafy (Trivium), Mikael Stanne (Dark Tranquillity), Björn Strid (Soilwork), and Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy).
Metal: Hellsinger is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
