Mario Kart Tour is moving out of beta and into full retail launch in exactly one month, on September 25, 2019. Late last night, Nintendo confirmed that the iOS and Android game would open up for preregistration and is available here.

The beta hasn’t exactly had the best feedback from testers, citing some rather heavy-handed monetization implemented into the game and several cooldown timers blocking progress. It’s been part of Nintendo’s mobile plan for a while now as we’ve seen it used in Fire Emblem Heroes nd Dr. Mario World extensively. I’m likely going to test this out and see how it fares compared to the other two titles, but right now the overbearing microtransactions are a real turnoff for me. Who knows though, Nintendo may have dialed back on their microtransaction practices for Mario Kart Tour.
