Nintendo kicked off the weekend with an in-depth overview trailer for Mario Golf: Super Rush, which is scheduled to launch next month on Nintendo Switch. In the trailer, the playable roster is confirmed and also several game modes you can tackle next month, with motion controls to make playing golf feel more authentic on Switch.
The trailer starts by talking about the various styles of controls you can use when the game launches, which include traditional controls as well as Joy-Con controls. We then get a look at the upcoming roster which should come as no surprise.

Each golfer has several strengths and up to four players can hit the green online and locally. There are a variety of course and several modes including Speed Golf, where each golfer hits the ball at once together you race to where it lands. Items are spread out the course, including boosts to stamina and each character has a special dash ability that can be used to steamroll opponents or use their special shot.
Battle Golf is another iteration of Speed Golf with special rules and is set on a single course. You need to be the first golfer to capture three flags to win. Gold Adventure is a fleshed-out RPG mode that allows you to level up your character. You can speak with residents of the Mushroom Kingdom and tackle challenges, boss battles and more.
