The Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen Technical Showcase Trailer From GDC Is Here

Publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks are at GDC and after their presentation at Game Developers Conference, revealed a new trailer for Lords of the Fallen, a sequel to 2014’s Lords of the Fallen.

The technical video is a showcase of Lords of the Fallen’s character customization options, revealing how Hexworks used 3D scans of real people with Unreal Engine 5 to create unique personas in-game. The same tech demo also features a look at how the lighting is utilized to make many of the complex environments stand out in real-time with Unreal’s Lumen GI, and also how Lords of the Fallen uses two worlds to tell a tale thanks to the custom toolset Hecworks built using UE5.

I wouldn’t go into the trailer expecting a standard trailer as it is meant to be educational more than anything. For those who are at GDC, this is a presentation that shows what UE5 is capable of in the right hands.

While no official word has confirmed it, it seems like the studio has decided this game will no longer be called The Lords of the Fallen, and instead, no is called Lords of the Fallen, falling in line with the Deck13 developed iteration.
