The dark and gritty fantasy, souls-like game Lords of the Fallen has just hit a significant milestone, selling one million copies in 10 days.
CI Games confirmed the news today after it released the game on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. It was developed by one of its internal studios, Hexworks.
Studio Head Saul Gascon writes: “Thank you to all the Lampbearers who have embarked on their journeys across Mournstead… We’re incredibly grateful to the passionate Lords of the Fallen community for their invaluable feedback and ongoing support. Their unwavering dedication has made this success possible, and we couldn’t be prouder to share it with them.”
And that’s not all; some significant changes are coming to the game improving quality of life and adding a highly requested feature.
First up, the addition of crossplay: “We are pleased to confirm we are activating crossplay on consoles this coming Monday, with a plan to activate it on ALL platforms this coming Thursday (October 26th, 2023).”
Some reports have surfaced that there have been game crashes or glitches in co-op sessions, resulting in progression loss. Hexworks says, “We’re setting up a team so you can send your corrupted saves/downgraded characters to, which will respond by providing your saves with the required vigour to restore characters up to the level they were before the glitch.”
New Game Plus mode is also seeing significant changes and additions, with several new options for Lords of the Fallen players.
