Today is Summer Game Fest and we’re liveblogging the event alongside the steam. Come join us as we head into Hot Geoff Summer given that E3 was cancelled this year. So, now the focus shifts to a new stage — an event that Keighley has described as “one long trailer for video games.”
This is now the third year we’ve had a show comparable to E3 and with each passing event, the bar is raised, the stakes are higher, and trailers are locked and loaded. Summer Game Fest will kick off Thursday, June 9 at 2 PM ET and is scheduled for a whopping three hours. The event is available on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter.
So far we know Capcom has a presence at the event with Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and hopefully news of Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Marvel is bringing Midnight Suns, MiHoYo is bringing Zenless Zone Zero, WB Games will have Gotham Knights, and Activision Blizzard is bringing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. From Bandai Namco, One Piece Odyssey is getting a world premiere gameplay reveal, Cuphead’s The Delicious Last Course will be in attendance and also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
Thanks for joining us in our first live blog!
