With D23 Expo Japan taking place this weekend, we not only got a new trailer featuring and confirming the Monsters Inc. property, we also got the main theme of Kingdom Hearts III. Since the original Kingdom Hearts, when I was but a child, I was taken aback by how much I loved Simple and Clean, the high energy J-Pop song that took the world by storm. Hearing Utada Hikaru once more feels good, and drives home how much growing up the series has done since the beginning.
What do you think of the new theme and does it fit into the overall story? This piano ballad is certainly much different than what we’ve come to expect from the series but it fits perfectly.
