Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio released a new overview trailer for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name in the lead-up to Gamescom 2023. The new trailer focuses on Kazuma Kiryu, who we last saw in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
“Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name tells the story of Kazuma Kiryu,
who chose to fake his death and disappear from the public eye to protect his loved ones.
For fans who have enjoyed the series since Yakuza: Like a Dragon, this title will provide the best insight into the personality of Kazuma Kiryu,” says Masayoshi Yokoyama, Director of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
The trailer above showcases some of the story beats players will engage with, and we also saw how two high-impact fighting styles, Agent and Yakuza, will play out. The Agent style uses an array of high-tech gadgets to take down enemies and focuses on speed, while the Yakuza style is about street fighting and aggressive moves. You can switch between the two styles at any time, too.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC on November 9, 2023, if you pre-order, you’ll receive the Legendary Fighter Pack bonus, including legendary Tojo clan yakuza Goro Majima, Daigo Dojima, and Taiga Saejima as playable characters in the Coliseum battle arena.
