Neowiz and Round8 Studios have revealed that Lies of P has sold over 1 million units since launching on September 19. These sales are strictly sales and do not account for Xbox Game Pass numbers.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the citizens of Krat. Thank you to everyone who helped us and accompanied us and we hope you join in our future journeys as well.#LiesofPpic.twitter.com/BpGUr0rkDn
“This incredible milestone for Lies of P proves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage,” says Neowiz co-CEO Seungchul Kim in a press release. “The Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio and we take great pride in what we achieved with this title.”
“The reception has been incredible so far, and we are beyond thankful that over one million players have already embarked on their journey through Krat. Likewise, we are excited for what the future holds for Lies of P, and can’t wait to share more when the time is right,” says Lies of P director Jiwon Choi.
In my review, I said that “Lies of P might not be Bloodborne 2, but it is an excellent and engaging experience inspired by some of the best games in the industry. Neowiz plays it safe to the chest with gameplay, but small things like Ergo and how you spend currency are smartly implemented. In the deluge of Soulslike games in recent years, Lies of P is the one game that stands toe to toe with FromSoftware’s patented designs. I’m content with my experience, and while many games have been tried, Neowiz understands the formula better than most developers.”
