Publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios are gearing upDeep Silver to part ways with Dev Partner for Dead Island 2 for next month’s Dead Island 2 launch, after years of development issues.
Today’s feature gives us a whopping 14 minutes of new gameplay set in Bel Air. The video introduces some of the weapons you’ll be using to tear apart the zombies in Los Angeles.
Additionally, Dani, one of the slayers in-game showcases how the weapons all come with their own unique fighting style with tons of upgrades to match. There are even varients of zombies to keep an eye out for including the grenadier walkers and Apex zombies.
Dani is from County Cork, Ireland, and is a balanced build suited for many scenarios Dead Island 2 offers. including an agile fighting style. Her mission in the video takes her to the Halperin Hotel.
Along the way, we see how Dani taps into the Skill Cards players can use to enhance abilities and create unique builds. What stands out more than anything though, is the FLESH (Fully Locational Evisceration System for Humanoids) system Dambuster added which shows how weapons react to zombie flesh and their bones, tearing apart the monsters piece by piece.
Lastly, it seems like because your character is infected but also immune, they can activate their corrupted DNA and trigger Fury Mode.
Dead Island 2 is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 21.
