WB Games revealed a new trailer last week for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game. This game is set to retell the series from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker. Whether or not you enjoyed the original LEGO games, this is a different take on the established formula, and if you enjoyed the Sequel Trilogy or not, the video games may be more your style.
Star Wars games vary in quality. We have the now-excellent Star Wars: Battlefront II, a game at the time of release was hit with waves of criticism for loot boxes practices that were rather shady. Consistent content updates have made Battlefront II a better game and consumers have had a hand in telling publishers how much they despise microtransactions. If you prefer single-player games, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launched for consoles and PC in November to positive reception, but there are tons of bugs and technical glitches plaguing the experience.
Enter LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a new reimagining of the films and filled with that familiar LEGO humour. A first for the series, there will also be voiced characters, planets to explore, revamped combat and more.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to launch in 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC.
