Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw your favorite Disney character? Well here is your chance. Launching exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, Disney Art Academy supplies various tools to learn to draw over 80 different Disney and Pixar characters.
Set your own pace as you follow multiple lessons. Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Elsa from Frozen, Nemo from Finding Nemo, Buzz Lightyear of Toy Story, and Simba from The Lion King will come to life on your Nintendo 3DS screen as your skill increases.
“Even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, you will be surprised by what you can create in Disney Art Academy,” said Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada’s General Manager and Senior Director. “The game uses fun lessons to teach drawing skills to artists of all ages and skill levels.”
Disney Art Academy allows you to utilize nine unique art tools such as pastels, paintbrushes, or markers. Discover your inner artist by trying out the lessons inspired by Disney art and animation. Each intuitive lesson guides you step-by-step on how to draw a single character. What starts as a mess of lines and shapes will soon evolve into your favorite characters.
Need a little bit of extra flair? Add some with the Magic Brush, a new addition to the Art Academy series. The Magic Brush will allow you to add magical elements such as stars, bubbles, and glitter to your masterpiece.
Of course, once you get good you’ll want to share your art. By connecting to the internet on your 3DS, you can share your art through Miiverse or social media via Image Share. Your completed art also gets stored on your systems SD card which allows for easy upload to a personal computer.
Disney Art Academy also includes a Free Paint mode allowing you to just go nuts. Draw characters anyway you want. Draw on a blank canvas or select from the over 80 characters for reference as you add to your virtual gallery.
Disney Art Academy launches May 13th, and can be purchased, on the Nintendo eShop on your 3DS, or on Nintendo.ca at the SRP of $39.99.
