If you are a fan of the series, you’ll know that many games have traditionally leaked via promotional gear and posters since at least Assassin’s Creed III, and as it were, the next game won’t be any different in that once again, the next Assassin’s Creed has potentially been leaked via a keychain and t-shirt!
Appearing on French website Jeuxvideo, a keyring featuring a Spartan (most likely but could also be Corinthian) helmet as well as a t-shirt featuring the game’s new logo. There’s enough to believe that this leak to true as we know that a new title was likely to come out next year via the Walmart leak. Not only that but according to sources that spoke to Kotaku, adding to last year’s Origins, Ubisoft is once more shaking the formula up by adding dialogue options, as well as allowing players to either play as male or female protagonists but will not feature Bayek or Aya.
Odyssey is scheduled to be released within Ubisoft’s 2019 fiscal year, ending on March 31, 2019. With Origins skipping out of the yearly release cycle and being given extra time to focus on quality, it looks like the company will once more return to the yearly release cycle that once plagued the series.
With E3 under two weeks away, we may hear more about it, until then, it is pure speculation, but with more shots of the promotional materials being seen in the wild, it is likely we’ll know more soon.
