Lance Reddick was taken from the world of games and acting far too soon when he died earlier this year. After an outpouring of love and support in Destiny 2 for his work as Commander Zavala, Guerrilla Games has created a permanent fixture for players to do the same in Horizon Forbidden West.
Reddick played the morally grey and compelling character of Sylens in both Forbidden West and its predecessor, Zero Dawn. The actor passed away earlier this year at the age of 60.
In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all.
Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly. pic.twitter.com/PXiba7H3SR

After an update was pushed to the game this week, players came across the above memorial. The only caveat is that it’s only available to players with access to the DLC Burning Shores.
At the location, anyone can see the projected name of the late actor. It is also where Sylens and Aloy meet for the first time—a touching and meaningful location for players and developers alike.
