Knuckles Series Coming To Paramount+, Adds Adam Pally, Tika Sumpter

The live-action Knuckles series is adding some familiar faces to its cast.

Announced last February, the series sees Idris Elba reprise his role as Knuckles the Echidna after co-starring in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Per VarietyAdam Pally will star and reprise his role of Wade Whipple from the films.

The film takes place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is currently scheduled to hit theatres on December 20, 2024. The series’ tagline indicates that Knuckles “agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.” Tika Sumpter will also return to reprise her role as Maddie.

Joining them are Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor. Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, John Whittington and Toru Nakahara will serve as executive producers on the series.

Jeff Fowler, who directed both Sonic the Hedgehog films, will return to helm the pilot episode and serve as executive producer.
