Closing out today’s Nintendo Direct was Kirby and the World Beyond, an upcoming new 3D adventure.
Very little is known about the game, but it promises that players will use “Kirby’s Copy Abilities to creative use” as they explore a new world to celebrate Kirby’s 35th anniversary.
We see Kirby use abilities to absorb the Ultra Sword, which then grows in size; it also appears Kirby is initially trapped before a hole in the fake sky hints at a much larger world. We see Kirby gain some sort of power that enlarges the sword he copied, which is then used to cut down a massive tree.
Kirby and the World Beyond is out in Spring 2027 for the Switch 2.
