Nintendo’s been pretty good at managing its library of announcements and game releases. The last few games including Metroid Dread and now Kirby and the Forgotten Land were announced no more than four months before launch.
Revealing the release date by posting a new trailer is standard business these days and today’s trailer does a good job at providing some insight into the new console Kirby game. In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, you must work to save the Waddle Dees that are being kidnapped by the Beast Pack. Setting out to save them, Kirby heads out with Elfilin, a new friend who will help in your journey.
There will be a co-op component where Kirby can join up with Bandana Waddle Dee, a secondary player that can see a variety of attacks with his spear. Alongside that, Waddle Dee Town will be the central hub of the story and will developer based on the number of Waddle Dees rescued by Kirby. As you populate the town, more shops open up and Kirby can even help out local businesses including the Waddle Dee Cafe where you prepare orders for customers.
