Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Spotted on the Microsoft Store

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

Twitter user WalkingCat posted a listing on the Microsoft Store for a Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning remaster.

THQ Nordic acquired the property in 2018 but has since then been silent on what they were planning. Originally launching in 2012, the game was developed by 38 Studios, a studio founded by MLB pitcher Curt Schilling. While the game received positive reviews and sold well, the studio shuttered soon after due to owing investors millions. There’s also the loan from the state of Rhode Island; the studio defaulted on a loan of $1.125 million.

There’s an excellent video on the subject from GVMERS:

The listing on the Microsoft Store:

The hit RPG returns! From the minds of the bestselling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston, comes Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Remastered with stunning visuals and refined gameplay Re-Reckoning delivers intense, customizable RPG combat inside a sprawling game world.

From the listing, you can build a character by combining countless skills, abilities, weapons, and armour. The Destiny system allows you to evolve your character class to your own style. There’s also all DLC included, the Teeth of Naros to Legend of Dead Kel to explore. Travel from the vibrant city of Rathir, to the vast region of Dalentarth, and the grim dungeons of the Brigand Hall Caverns and learn of the lore from R.A. Salvatore.
