A new Kingdom Hearts game is coming this year and it looks to continue the series in a fresh new way: by moving to the beat.
An announcement trailer was revealed today showing what the gameplay looks like, and even teases a new series of scenes set after the end of Kingdom Hearts 3. If the gameplay reminds you of another Square Enix property called Theatrhythm, I wouldn’t blame you thinking that.
We see young Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, Hercules, Aladdin, and more helping take out the Heartless. I’m more invested in that scene with Kairi at the end of the trailer.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is scheduled for 2020 and will launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch.
