Kingdom Hearts III Director Shares Tidbits About Re:Mind

If you’re like me and can’t wait for the upcoming downloadable content coming to Kingdom Hearts III, the new interview conducted by Japanese magazine Famitsu might interest you. Tetsuya Nomura spoke to the publication and revealed some interesting tidbits about the expansion.

If the trailer for Re:Mind stuck with you, that’s good. We got our first official glimpse at E3 this year and learned that the expansion includes an extra scenario. All footage seen in the trailer is made up of elements included in the additional scenario. As for Limit Cuts, Re:Mind is aiming for the same amount of bosses as found in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix.

Sora’s Oathkeeper and a new form will be released as free downloadable content at the same time as the “Re:Mind” add-on.

You can play as Roxas, Aqua, Ventus, and Riku by progressing through the additional scenarios similar to Aqua and Riku’s found in the main campaign.

The additional scenario is a standalone experience and can be played after clearing the storyline. Nomura wants this expansion out as soon as possible so it doesn’t overlap with the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake which launches on March 3, 2020.
