Revealed during today’s Inside Xbox, Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat, joined the crew at Xbox to talk about the latest reveal.
First off, Kabal returns for Mortal Kombat 11, after having previously skipped the last game. Kabal has been part of the franchise since 1995, appearing in Mortal Kombat 3. He’s also a personal favourite of mine and seeing him back is good, giving me a good starting point when the game launches later this year. Kabal wields his signature hooked blades and features an updated move set and a new outfit and creepy mask to go with it. His fatality is pretty gruesome, too.
Second up, D’Vorah was revealed as well, and first appeared in Mortal Kombat X. We didn’t see any gameplay featuring her, but expect to see more of her soon.
Both Kabal and D’Vorah join an expanding roster for Mortal Kombat 11, which also recently confirmed Kano would return to join the ranks between favourites like Scorpion and Sub-Zero. The roster has been consistently growing since the game was revealed in December at The Game Awards, and looks to be the vilest entry in the long-running series.
