NetherRealm Studios revealed Johnny Cage today for Mortal Kombat 11 and as no surprise, the movie star can hold his own against Outer Realm’s baddies. His reveal is easily my favourite of the bunch because its a bunch of fun gimmicks only Cage is able to pull off. Seriously, watch the reveal and try not to laugh at it. I think his fatality is my favourite so far of the ones we’ve seen.
Since Liu Kang is now the emperor of NetherRealm, it’s up to Johnny and Sonya, who serve as protectors of the Earth Realm. Seeing Johnny’s classic moves once again, as well as his glasses serving as a projectile gives me immense pleasure. The bombastic Johnny Cage continues to impress, even though he’s finally beginning to show his age. With hope, this hilarious movie star survives the tournament and continues to impress.
A new Kombat Kast is set today and will dive into Johnny Cage’s moveset, that goes live at 4:00 PM EST.
