NetherRealm Studios revealed our first look at Jean-Claude Van Damme in Mortal Kombat 1, where he serves as a skin for Johnny Cage.
The character’s skin is included in the Kombat Pack. It also includes his likeness and voice, which includes —Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda Takahashi, Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander—and five upcoming Kameo Fighters.
Mortal Kombat 1 serves as yet another reboot; this time, Fire God Liu Kang recreates the world, allowing us to see reimagined versions of the iconic roster of characters.
Story Mode returns with an immersive “cinematic narrative” which is said to include unexpected twists on classic rivalries and new backstories for the cast, including Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, and many others.
Additionally, Kameo Fighters will be added, featuring a unique roster of partner characters that assist in battle.
Mortal Kombat 1 is coming to Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC on September 19, 2023.
