Developer Tiger Team has announced that its upcoming mecha action-combat RPG, Ironwing Valiant: Record of Astera, is getting a second closed alpha test on PC via Steam, and to celebrate the news, it has released a brand-new trailer. No specific release details were shared, only that the game’s next alpha test is “coming soon.”
Ironwing Valiant: Record of Astera is described as a fast-paced, mecha action JRPG featuring Gundam-like mechs called Valiants, allowing players to experience the story from the perspective of Reinhardt, a young pilot who takes to the sky in his mech. The gameplay is set to feature fast-paced action, shooting/melee mechanics, mech and companion customization, real-time combat with pause-command abilities, and more. Mech anime isn’t the game’s only inspiration. Ironwing Valiant: The art style, story setting, and cutscene system all feel intentionally inspired by Valkyria Chronicles, but this time with a speedy, jet-transforming mech at the forefront.
