The new generation of iPhones is now available for preorder. Ahead of the September 20th release date, Apple has opened up its iPhone 11 preorders online and in retail locations. Earlier this week, Apple held their annual Apple Event, which showcases the latest innovations on the iPhone front.
The keynote unveiled the sixth-generation iPad, the Apple Watch Series 5, and of course, the new line of iPhones. Dubbed the iPhone 11, the new line will come in three varieties––iPhone 11, iPhone Pro, and iPhone Pro Max––similar to last year’s XS, XS Max, and XR models.
The iPhone 11, which is the base model has been priced at $979 CAD for the 64GB model, $1,049 CAD for 128GB, and $1,189 for the 256GB model. It sports a 6.1-inch LCD True Tone Display and will be running on Apple’s new A13 Bionic chip. Rear and front-facing cameras will feature 12 megapixels. On the back, you’ll also find an Ultra-Wide angle lens. You’ll also find that the base model comes in five different colours: Black, Yellow, Product Red, Purple, and Green.
The iPhone 11 Pro will run you $1,379 for 64GBs of storage, $1,589 for 256GBs, and $1,859 for an expansive 512GBs. The Pro model has a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR, OLED display with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. It will also run on the A13 Bionic chip. The Pro variant has the same camera specs as the base, with an additional 12-megapixel Telephoto lens on the back. The iPhone 11 Pro comes in four colours: Midnight Green, Space Grey, Gold, and Silver.
Finally, we have Apple’s iPhone Pro Max. The starting price of this model is $1,519 for the 64GB version, $1,729 for 256GBs, and $1,999 for 512GBs. The iPhone Pro Max has a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR, OLED Display with HDR 10 and Dolby vision as well. You’ll find many of the same core features, only built within a larger body and screen. As with the Pro model, the Pro Max has the same selection of colours to choose from.
Apple announced that the Pro and Pro Max will include an 18W USB-C power adapter, allowing faster charging. Additionally, Apple announced that you can get a one-year subscription to Apple TV Plus, which launches on November 1st when purchasing a new iPhone, iPad or Mac.
During the Apple Event keynote, additional details of Apple Arcade. The mobile game subscription service will launch Thursday, September 19th for $5.99 CAD/month.
